• You are designing for 2 Groups

  • Crew / Director

  • Director / Actors​

• Perspective Designs  - Director / Actors to help them see the "Big Picture"

  • Audience's POV

    • Start at the Floor and go Up

    • Draw the Box the Furniture/Object "Lives" In

• Floor / Ground Plan - Director / Crew to help them see "Where Everything Goes"

  • Bird's Eye View

    • Stuck to the Ceiling Looking Down

  • Needs to be to Scale

    • So you can know exact sizes and exactly where it goes on the stage

Scale Basics:

• Start in the Original Size

  • We Measure in Feet (')

    • Either going to Scale (Change) to LARGER or SMALLER

• Measurement Marks

  • Colon ( : ) Means "Is Equivalent/Equal To"​

  • Always more Inches then Feet
